Outreach

The Lay Ministries and Mission Ministries at First United Methodist Church are facilitated by laypersons through a wide variety of local, state, national, and international outreach ministries. We utilize lay volunteers to fulfill our calling to be an Acts 1:8 church…“to be witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” We support those who “go out” with training, encouragement, prayer, and financial support. Both members and non-members are invited to participate in an ongoing community outreach ministry or in a one-time mission venture. If you want to make a difference in the world for Christ’s sake, either here at home or around the world, you are invited to consider the possibilities.
